Dermal fillers such as Restylane can provide dramatic results in improving wrinkles and scars by augmenting and smoothening out the skin. Restylane adds volume to lips, lifts up wrinkles and folds and the results can be seen immediately.
Restylane® is a clear, biodegradable non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA) gel. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance already present in your body. Therefore Restylane is fully compatible with human tissue and is non-toxic, non-allergenic and non-inflammatory.
Treatment with Restylane® is a rather easy procedure. It is injected into the skin with a fine needle. Immediately after the treatment, you can experience some temporary swelling, tenderness or redness at the injection site. It generally disappears in a few days or weeks. Some patients may want to have a local anesthetic for better comfort. Restylane can restore volume under the skin and helps to reshape facial contours.
